U18A1 Battle to the Finals at Clarington Applefest Tournament
The Scarborough Sharks U18A1 team delivered a gutsy and inspiring performance this past weekend at the Clarington Flames Applefest Tournament, making it all the way to the championship game despite being down to just 10 skaters.

Facing adversity from the start, the Sharks showed incredible heart, determination, and teamwork throughout the tournament. Game after game, the team dug deep, overcoming fatigue and short bench challenges to earn their spot in the finals.

In the championship match, the Sharks faced a strong North Simcoe Capitals squad. Despite giving it everything they had left, the Sharks ultimately fell short, finishing as tournament finalists. While the result wasn’t the one they hoped for, the journey was a testament to the resilience and character of this group of athletes.

“This was another great accomplishment for the girls,” said Head Coach Rick Meraw. “They showed what it means to compete with pride and perseverance. I couldn’t be prouder of how they represented Scarborough.”

The Sharks continue to build momentum this season, proving they’re a team to watch.
