Scarborough Sharks U9- Head Coach & Collaborative Coaching Opportunity
The Scarborough Sharks Girls Hockey Association is seeking a Head Coach for our U9, Competitive Team: with a strong emphasis on collaborative coaching and staff specialization.

We believe great teams are built by great people working together. That’s why we’re inviting applicants who are passionate about coaching with others, sharing responsibilities, and focusing on their areas of strength whether that’s strategy, skill development, goalie training, team culture, or game management.

🔹 What We’re Looking For:

  • A Head Coach who values teamwork and is open to job sharing with assistant coaches and specialists
  • Leaders who want to focus on what they do best, while supporting others to do the same
  • Coaches who are committed to developing confident, skilled, and respectful athletes

🔹 Responsibilities (Shared & Specialized):

  • Lead or co-lead practices and game strategy
  • Collaborate with development staff for on-ice and dryland training
  • Delegate roles such as goalie coaching, video analysis, or team management
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and competitive team culture
  • Ensure all staff meet OWHA and Hockey Canada certification and screening requirements

🔹 Qualifications:

  • D1 certification (HP1 required for AA level)
  • Respect in Sport / Speak Out certification
  • Clear Vulnerable Sector Screening
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Experience in competitive coaching or player development
