Bill Miller

Thank you for your interest in the 2023/24 Scarborough Sharks U13B team!  My name is Bill Miller, and I am excited to be the head coach for the upcoming season!  Here are some key and interesting things to know about me.
·        I played for the Agincourt Lions in the SHA growing up in Scarborough.
·        I have been coaching hockey since 2009 in various roles.(head coach, assistant coach, and trainer)
·        Most recently I was the 2022/23 Scarborough Sharks U11DS head coach, as well as 2022/23 Durham West Lightning U18A assistant coach.
·        I have five OFSAA medals for pole-vaulting, and I competed at the CIAU’s in the pole-vault for the University of Waterloo.

For the upcoming season my aim for the team is to have fun while developing skills, teamwork, and overall athletic ability.  Some highlights of the program that I will run are:
·        Pre-season training camp including practices, team bonding activities, and exhibition game(s).
·        4 tournaments including one out-of-town tournament. (Niagara, Waterloo, etc)
·        Average week consisting of 4 outings. (eg 2 practices and 2 games)
·        Additional skills and skating training for the team.
·        Goalie training will be included in the budget.
·        Additional team bonding events throughout the season.×
