The best hockey teams aren’t built around individual talent, they’re built around trust, commitment, and a shared standard of how the game is played.
I’m passionate about coaching hockey and building teams that are fast, disciplined, and deeply connected. My approach has always been rooted in the belief that players develop best within a strong team culture; one built on trust, accountability, and shared purpose.
I’ve been fortunate to coach within the Scarborough Sharks organization for several years, working with players in a competitive environment that values both performance and development. Alongside this, I’ve coached at Sir Oliver Mowat Collegiate, leading both the Senior Girls and Junior Boys hockey programs. Coaching across these levels has reinforced for me that successful teams aren’t defined by individual talent alone, but by how well players commit to one another and to a common way of playing.
My teams are built around a pressure-driven, aggressive style of hockey that emphasizes speed, structure, and hockey intelligence. To play this way successfully, players must understand their roles, communicate, and trust their teammates. I focus heavily on creating that trust between players, and between players and coaches; because that’s what allows athletes to play confidently, make good decisions under pressure, and grow as competitors.
Outside of hockey, I own and operate a successful business, which strongly influences how I coach. Leadership, preparation, communication, and responsibility are values I bring into the rink every day. My goal is to help players develop not only as hockey players, but as teammates and individuals who understand the value of commitment and teamwork.
Ultimately, I want players to leave the season more confident, more connected, and better prepared on and off the ice; because they learned what it means to be part of something bigger than themselves.
