Hello Players and Parents,

My name is Jason Reddy.  I am an experienced, dedicated, and passionate coach with a strong commitment to fostering athlete development both on and off the ice. With over 20 years of experience in sports and education, I am excited to pursue a coaching role with the Scarborough Sharks for the U18BB division in the 2025/2026 season. Holding a Master of Science in Education and a range of coaching certifications—including Coach 2, HTCP Trainer Level 1, and Respect In Sport Activity Leader—I bring a well-rounded skill set to the ice.

Throughout my coaching career, I’ve had the opportunity to work with various teams, including the Scarborough Sharks U15BB, Victoria Village Select, and Parkwoods Stars. As an assistant coach, I’ve helped set team goals, led on-ice drills, and guided players during games. I take great pride in fostering strong communication with both players and parents to ensure a cohesive and positive team environment. Whether coaching U15, U13, or younger divisions, I’ve focused on building a culture of trust, respect, and accountability.

As Head Coach for several youth teams, I’ve had the privilege of shaping team vision, developing player skills, and creating strategies that promote team growth. I believe in the importance of providing athletes with a supportive atmosphere where they can thrive, not just as hockey players but as individuals. By emphasizing teamwork, mutual respect, and strong work ethic, I aim to create a culture that supports individual growth while also fostering unity and collaboration among the entire team.

In addition to my on-ice coaching roles, my extensive experience as a teacher with the TDSB has allowed me to work in leadership roles in sports for over two decades, including coaching at the TDSSAA level. This experience has equipped me with valuable insight into how to build a positive and inclusive culture where athletes are motivated to work hard, persevere, and excel. My goal is always to provide athletes with the tools and mindset needed to succeed on the ice while developing valuable life skills that will serve them beyond the rink.×
