Kobe Doyle
Kobe Doyle and Sydney Ryan are excited to join the Scarborough Sharks for the 2025–2026 season as Co-Head Coaches. Both are former competitive hockey players with deep roots in the game, having played for organizations including North Simcoe, North York Storm, and Scarborough Sharks.
As female coaches with extensive experience working with youth, through hockey programs, camps, and as a middle school teacher, Kobe and Sydney are committed to empowering athletes on and off the ice. They aim to model strong leadership, build self-confidence, and help players develop a lifelong appreciation for hockey that extends beyond wins and losses.
Together, they bring a shared passion for the sport and a commitment to developing confident, capable, and resilient young female athletes. Their approach to running the U13B program focuses on skill development, confidence-building, and creating a positive, inclusive team culture where every player feels supported and challenged.
Practices are purposeful, high-energy, and age-appropriate, designed to keep players active and engaged while developing skating, puck control, passing, positioning, and hockey understanding. Goaltenders are thoughtfully included, with additional guidance informed by Kobe’s experience as both a goaltender and goalie instructor.
Kobe and Sydney prioritize fostering a positive team environment where players feel safe taking risks, supporting each other, and developing leadership skills. Their approach encourages fairness, development, and engagement, helping female athletes stay in the sport longer while building a healthy, lasting love for the game.Sydney Ryan
